FAQ

  • There are no two photography studios that have identical pricing. Headshot photographers can charge anywhere from $50 to $2500 for a headshot session. Whether you are taking professional business headshots in orange county or business headshots in Los Angeles or in other states, the pricing varies at photography studios.

We offer discounted rates for group business headshots. You can contact us here for a quick quote.

  • Make your clothing decisions based on the industry that you work for and that best represent who you are as a professional.

It’s important to select your outfits at least a few days before your headshot appointment. When selecting outfits, decide what style you want to go for in your headshots. Blue tones, navy, taupe, and grey are on the safer side of the color pallets for business attire.

Avoid wearing too many patterns or heavily branded attire. You want to have your headshot image to be timeless and classic.

Make sure to bring more than one outfit for additional variety. It is important to try on all your outfits before your scheduled headshot to make sure that everything fits properly.

If you have questions about your outfit selection, we are more than happy to help you make your selections before coming into our studio for your headshot. You want to select outfits that you look and feel your best in.

  • Hairstyle decisions are more personal choices catered to the shape of the persons face and the style of hair.

Hair should be styled in the best version of how people typically see you. For longer hair, we can try different variations from styling your hair to frame your face, to putting it behind your shoulder to tying it completely up.

We will work together to help guide you with what looks best in your headshot.

We also offer hair and makeup services in studio that can be added on to your headshot when you are making the appointment.

  • Makeup for headshots is highly recommended. Think of the makeup as an overall natural enhancement. We do not recommend heavy makeup. We recommend sticking with natural makeup that brings out your best features.

Some light foundation, concealer, a little bit of blush or bronzer, mascara is a must, and a kiss of your go-to lip product.

Avoid heavy contouring, vibrant eye shadows and highlighter. Most of the time it isn’t blended well and doesn’t look good in the headshot image.

We work with a makeup artist that will come to our studio to do your makeup on location. She also stays during your session to make sure your makeup is flawless in your photos.

  • To stay consistent and up to date, we recommend updating your professional headshot at least once per year. If your outside appearance changes with hair, glasses, facial hair, etc., then it would be time to update your headshot sooner than one year.

  • Every business headshot photo taken by our team is fully retouched by hand in our signature style. Our business headshots stand out because we know how to photograph every individual in the best light followed by each photo going through custom retouching.

Our signature style of retouching is consistent with our photography. We strive for business headshots to have a more natural look. It’s important to be recognized in your professional headshot.

We focus on removing skin imperfections and making skin lines less pronounced. We also address makeup tonal graduation (making sure the makeup is naturally blended and even). In the retouching process, accentuating the eyes is important for the headshot to stand out. Fly away hair is also removed.

    Our team avoids over-retouching.

  • An over-retouched headshot is when the persons skin doesn’t look real, the face looks strange and unnatural. In most cases, an over-retouched headshot doesn’t represent how an individual looks in real life.

  • Headshots for individuals, smaller teams, or new hires are typically taken at our studio in Santa Ana, California. WASIO faces is located a few blocks down from South Coast Plaza in Orange County. There is a waiting room in the front where groups of people can wait to take turns to get their headshot photographed.

If your company is not based in Southern California, we travel nationwide for your professional headshot needs. Please contact us with more information on your photography needs and how many team members will be participating.

  • We travel nationwide for professional business headshots. Learn more about corporate headshots and WASIO bringing the studio to your office or event location.
