How Often You Should Refresh Your Headshot
We hear from a lot of people that they like their old professional headshot because… and the list goes on: I looked younger, I had more hair (men usually say this;), I was few pounds lighter etc. Whatever the excuse you may need a new headshot anyway.
However, the goal of a professional headshot is to represent the best version of who you are now. Actors/Actresses/Models - actor headshot should be refreshed every 3 months or as soon as you change your look with hair color, hair style, lose/gain weight. Also, most actors need a great variety so the casting director sees your subtle facial expression that may fit a specific role.
Professionals - every 12-18 months. We continuously change and one year is about the time when we look a bit different.
